Color has been my creative companion since childhood—starting with a beloved box of 64 crayons and evolving into a lifelong passion for decorating spaces that sing with personality and joy. As a retired music teacher of over 30 years, I named my blog Sonata Home Design as a nod to my love of music and harmony—both in melodies and in home design.

I believe color and creativity can transform any space into a true reflection of who you are. Through approachable DIYs, clever design ideas, and joyful inspiration, I help others create homes that feel warm, welcoming, and uniquely personal.

When I’m not designing or crafting, you’ll find me enjoying coffee, travel, playing the piano, or spending time with my husband, our twin daughters, and our charming son-in-law—always finding inspiration in the rhythm and color of everyday life.
